Isabelle Mayne is the Chief Operating Officer of Ironshield Capital Management and plays a pivotal role in overseeing the firm’s day-to-day operations, strategic implementation and investor-facing infrastructure. Working closely with Ironshield’s Founder, David Nazar, Isabelle ensures that the firm operates with institutional-grade discipline, operational clarity and a culture anchored in collaboration, integrity and high performance.

Since joining Ironshield in 2022, Isabelle has helped reshape the firm’s operating model, scaling its processes, strengthening financial oversight and supporting the expanding needs of the investment platform. Her remit now spans sales and marketing strategy, operational oversight, financial management and hr/recruitment, requiring cross-team coordination, and the development of scalable systems that enable the investment team to focus on delivering strong, risk-adjusted returns. She sits on the Investment and Valuation Committees working closely with all teams across the business.

Prior to Ironshield, Isabelle spent nearly nine years at GSA Capital, progressing from Hedge Fund Accountant to Product Control Manager. In this leadership role, she oversaw financial controls, valuation processes, and product governance, and served as a member of the Valuation Committee — experience that provided a rigorous grounding in P&L oversight, pricing integrity, risk frameworks and the mechanics of complex trading strategies. Earlier in her career, she held a hedge fund accounting role at Wells Fargo, deepening her understanding of fund structures and operational finance.

A CIMA-qualified accountant with more than a decade of experience in financial services, Isabelle combines technical precision with strategic thinking. In 2025, she was recognised by The Hedge Fund Journal as one of the 50 Leading Women in Hedge Funds, reflecting her leadership, resilience and contributions to the hedge fund industry.
